Another thing that made me realize this was that the sleep mode worked weell when I tried to sleep right after the boot, I realized that what was preventing sleep was an app that was slow to boot.
Uninstalled Malwarebytes Anti-malware — issue fixed. May be because I had not updated it for half a year. My problem was Malwarebytes software, either because not updated for half a year or being problematic as it is. The sleep issue was fixed after uninstalling it.
