Different characters fall into one of three racing classes: Speed, Technique, and Power. Each type has their own unique abilities and skillsets that give them both advantages and disadvantages: Gameplay is viewed from a third-person perspective. At the beginning of each race, the player starts out in front of the finish line. For a sudden speed boost straight off the startline, the player can build up a Start Line Boost by pressing and releasing Accelerate.
